Armored Sandbox is a 2D impact simulation/sandbox game. Select the shooting target and observe what actually happens. There are no preset animations here. Each steel plate, each bullet, and each fragment is composed of particles with realistic material properties: density, strength, melting point, and specific heat capacity. Effects such as deformation, fracture, spalling, high temperature, combustion, and explosion are all determined by these values. If you replace steel with glass, the glass will break rather than dent-because the glass itself is brittle, not because someone painted the broken effect. Contents include: • More than 80 kinds of materials: steel, aluminum alloy, tungsten, tantalum, ceramics and glass, concrete and stone, wood, rubber, water, fuel, explosives • More than 60 kinds of projectiles: from pistol shells to tail stable shell piercing shells (APFSDS), long rod shells, shaped charges and ultra-high speed charges • More than 60 kinds of targets: steel plates, multilayer armor components, deep obstacles • 15 kinds of vehicle profiles: t-34-85, Tiger I, Leopard, Sherman, IS-2, T-55, T-72 (with and without reactive armor), M1A2, Leopard 2A6, Challenger 2, BMP-1, M113, etc. Each vehicle contains its real armor layout, ammunition, fuel and engine internal structure. More than 40 ready-made experimental examples create your own works to draw projectiles and targets pixel by pixel, select a material for each pixel. Use mirroring, outlining, replacing, and grid alignment to save them to your library, then send the design as a single small file to a friend or to your own computer. It can run on a mobile phone, occupying a block of memory for the physics core and operating in a background thread, so the screen is not affected during simulation. The first time you open the app, the system will assess your device’s performance and generate anywhere from 18,000 particles to as many as one million on desktop. No registration required, no ads, no tracking—this app does not make any network requests. Unless you export it yourself, any content you create will not leave your device.
